The island of Maui is endowed with tourist attractions. Don't assume your suite will (or will not) be furnished with a television, stereo, or even a telephone. If you need these services, be sure to prepare arrangements or select a resort which offers them.
You might feel at first like you are entering a foreign country (not so many years ago, it was), but keep in mind that Hawaii is an American state. Almost everybody speaks English, and there is no currency to exchange. Your U.S. dollars are happily accepted everywhere.
